After 37 years of operating camps of all types and cultures, my expertise includes strategic planning, long-range planning, and facility planning as well as operational improvements. 

I have consulted for CEOs, Executive Directors, and owners of private camps throughout the U.S. and internationally, in France, Kosovo, Japan, Korea, and Ukraine. 

As CEO of Frost Valley YMCA for 20 years, I led the largest summer camp in the world, a four-season operation. 

Frost Valley serves 4,000 children in July and August (3,000 resident campers and 1,000 day campers) with 100 permanent, year-round employees and 350 seasonal staff.

My vision and business plan for an all-girl equestrian camp surpassed the donor’s proforma expectations within two years. 

In 2003, I re-invented our nascent farm camp, by  improving  culture,  quality  and  program.  It has been operating at capacity for over a decade.

I understand camping finances, programs, and facilities. 

I recognize the fact that each camp has a unique culture.
